Who's who?

LEADERSHIP TEAM

The church is led by Ian, Tim, Glen and James, and we use the term ‘elders’ for their role because it’s one used in the Bible, and by others in our family of churches.

You can read a little about them here. And many others lead in all sorts of other roles and groups in the church.

Ian & Jen Dallain

Ian & Jen only intended to stay in Norfolk for a year, and were surprised to find themselves still here over 20 years later…and married with children and jobs and a mortgage! It was also quite a surprise when Ian became a church leader.

They still have children, who are grown up now, and they still have jobs outside the church – Ian works for Norfolk Fire Service and Jen is an Occupational Therapist. They enjoy beer, travel, their kids and the church.

Tim & Cath Greene

Born and raised in Norfolk, Tim & Cath moved to North Walsham to be part of NewLife in 2001 - they were only going to stay a year! Between them they set up the kid’s work and ‘the Posse’ youth group, acted as treasurer, produced notice sheets and organised the refreshments.

In more recent times worship, preaching and eldership are juggled with family life - three fabulous boys, two crazy cats and a great church are a true blessing!

James & Suzie Schaitel

James & Suzie moved to North Walsham and joined NewLife in 2010. Since then they have had three children, two dogs and a cat. They head up a number of areas in the church - they lead one of the small groups, Tots, and they oversee worship; they love the church family, love the town and love being part of what God is doing.

Glen & Lysa Owen

Glen & Lysa have been part of NewLife for more than 12 years. They are Small Group leaders and Glen is part of the leadership team. Lysa enjoys being part of the Tots team and they both help at Attic, our very popular youth club. They enjoy time with family, country living, trying to keep up with two very active grandchildren and finding new places to enjoy afternoon tea.

Better connected

We believe that we can do more together than we ever could alone. This is just one of the reasons why we’re a part of the Newfrontiers family of churches and locally, Relational Mission. We have a great relationship with other churches in our region and beyond, in Aylsham, Sheringham, and Dereham, to name a few.

Our beliefs

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.

We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.
